This picture was taken looking out of the 16th floor of our hotel room in Chengdu. Esther sewed all the shirts!
We came to Chengdu mainly to get Menita a new passport (at the US consulate), but we also managed to turn the trip into a mini vacation. This city is bigger than I expected and boasts an array of interesting architecture.
This one skyscraper appears to be flat, but it is actually a tight triangular structure.
Some musicians have tried to ignore the rules of harmony. It appears that these architects attempted a similar approach.
We also visited a panda research center, but we were disappointed that most of the pandas just wanted to stay inside out of the heat.
However, we did find this rare Red Panda trying to beat the heat in a tree!
