World turned upside down or is it just switched from one side to other?

Dear Friends,
Thank you everyone for your prayers. Isaiah gave us a few scares overseas, and we discovered what it’s like to have doctors tell you to move internationally as soon as possible.
It has been a difficult time, but we are so thankful that Isaiah is safe now. We discovered that Isaiah has dangerous allergies to common foods. He was having large reactions in Asia when we had no idea what was happening. So, we are thankful God preserved him through our ignorance.
We are also thankful that Isaiah’s appointments were sped up. We were originally looking at an appointment with a gastroenterologist toward the end of February, but a cancellation allowed us to get in just last week.
We are now scheduled for an endoscopy on February 9. They will look at Isaiah’s esophagus and insert a feeding tube. If the new stringent diet has helped heal his digestive tract, we can proceed with tube feeding and slowly transition into feeding therapy and the eating of solids.
I don’t know what the purpose of having to learn to live with a new disease (doctor’s call eosinophilic esophagitis), but we know that our Father will use it for good. The following verses from 2nd Corinthians have taken on new meaning for me lately. “ but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: …We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.”
We sometimes have sorrow but we have so much hope and rejoicing in our savior. We have few things as far as earthly trinkets go, but when we consider a relationship with our creator and a godly family, how rich we truly are!
Requests:
Isaiah’s continuing improvement
Learning to follow a new diet
Praises:
Provision for medical needs
Doctors who are able to pinpoint the problems

Wonderful friends who have blessed us in many ways

  1. Hi, Paul and Esther,
Thank you for the update on Isaiah! Our church, Voice of Victory BMC, remember your family in prayer! Thankful the Doctors were able to find out Isaiah's problem quicly. God has His plan even though we made not understand, but He is in control. I admire you greatly in your willingness to go where God calls you! God's blessings! Linda Leppla
